Emphatetice to Others

Empathetic is the ability and the willing to feel what other people feel. Empathetic is a part of the ability in heart management.
Rasulullah pbuh, as the source of well-mannered model for Moslems, had told us how important empathetic is since many years ago. In an hadith, Rasulullah pbuh stated that a man is not a part of the Moslems, whereas he doesn’t care his brother in Islam (other Moslem). Rasulullah pbuh also stated that a Moslem behaves to other Moslem is like the body parts, if one part of the body feels ill,the other part of the body will have the same feeling.
These are the lesson of empathetic to the Prophet taught, he even taught us how empathetic the non-Moslems. This lesson will lead to other people’s sympathy, whether he is Moslem or not. We have to remember that Islam is rahmatan lil ‘alamin (for the welfare of the universe).
Empathetic allow us to be useful for others. Isn’t the most noble man is the most useful man? Truly, there is no use to make others having loss. Our fortunate cannot be taken from what we’ve got, but from our useful presence for others. This will make other love us; because our presence will bring peaceful atmosphere, give some help and useful solutions. This peaceful atmosphere, help and useful solution can appear because we feel what others feel. It is needed the pure heart and honest if we see someone who gets calamity or happiness. When someone gets calamity, we can feel his feeling immediately. Because of that the best action is not laugh him, do not care or just pretend we are sad. The action of the pure heart man is help him immediately or just giving an attention although just only to hear his complain.
On contrary, if someone gets happiness or a blessing from Allah the Great, we can see his happiness by saying congratulation, giving a present or prayer as sign of expression the happiness feeling too.
Without the pure of heart, it’s impossible for sympathize if we see calamity at someone. His heart will not be touched. If we see a gift from Allah to someone, his heart is full with jealous and prejudice. The kind of persons like this cannot feel whatever the other person feeling. If he can be a leader, he will be so cruel. If he can be employee, he will have a lot of prejudice and injustice. If he is rich, he will be suffering losses to share his wealth to the poor man. If he is a poor man, he will hate a rich man.
So, a sympathy feeling shows the self-control to things, which are progress in outside of our selves, but it could be felt and measured from our heart. If we feel a slight pinch is sick, it’s better we do not pinch the others. If we feel the insulted and abasement will cause the broken heart, it’s better we do not do the same thing. If we think that smile is beauty and make heart happy, give it to everybody. If we feel how is stomached and tortured because less of food, give that food for starving person. Insya Allah ( if Allah permits) we will be someone who is sensitive in heart and feeling, so we will be a hope of many people.
